Visiting this site implies consent to the following terms and conditions.
When you visit our web site, we may collect information about you that you voluntarily choose to share with us. This identification information may include, but is not limited to, your name, your physical address, your e-mail address, your telephone and fax numbers. What may be less obvious to you is that, when you visit our web site, we may collect data involving your usage through the use of "cookies" (i.e. small text files placed on your computer by a web site), web server logs, and other web tools. This technology allows us to customize your online experience, as well as track your Internet use. The tracking data we collect may include, but is not limited to, the date and time you visit, the time you spend, the web pages you view, the other web sites you visit, your search queries, and basic information about your computer, such as your Internet Protocol ("IP") address, your domain name, your browser type, and the name of your Internet service provider. You may deactivate cookies if you do not want your browsing to be tracked, but doing so may hinder your online experience. When visiting our web site, you may be directed, through hyperlinks, to other web sites that are beyond our control.
We primarily use the identification information you voluntarily share with us to customize your online experience and to do what you have asked of us. We also use your identification information to tell you about our products and services, but you may instruct us not to send communications to you by contacting us. On occasion, we use your identification information to validate your identity. As for usage tracking data, we primarily use that information to operate and improve our web site, and to further our marketing efforts. As a general rule, we do not share your information with unaffiliated third parties. We may, however, share your information with our own personnel, our service providers and technology partners to the extent necessary to fulfill your requests. We reserve the right to disclose your information under limited circumstances, such as to cooperate with law enforcement or judicial authorities as required by law or legal process, to protect our own legal rights, or to protect the public good. Whenever you are online, you run the risk that the information you give out will fall into the wrong hands. Although we implement and maintain reasonable security procedures and practices to safeguard your privacy, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you provide to us. We accept no responsibility or liability for the activities of third parties.
When pay by credit card for any of Webb Weavers Consulting's services, the credit card and billing information you supply is transferred, using the most secure transmission technology, to a trusted third party for processing (as of July 2008, QuickBooks Merchant Service, provided by Innovative Merchant Solutions, LLC, an Intuit Company.) QuickBooks Merchant Service requires that all card-accepting merchants comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). This is the standard that the card associations (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover® Network, and JCB) have agreed upon for how this data is stored, processed, and transmitted. Please visit www.pcisecuritystandard.org for more information and a full listing of the requirement. Your credit card information is not stored on the Webb Weavers Consulting web site or in our database. We do not have access to your credit card information nor do we keep it on file.
Webb Weavers Consulting is not responsible for the content in any of our clients email campaigns, web sites or graphic design projects. Any information provided or opinions given by our clients are those of our clients and in no way reflect upon the opinions or information provided by Webb Weavers Consulting.
Webb Weavers Consulting is dedicated to protecting your privacy and the privacy of anyone on the receiving end of a WebbMail-delivered email. To that end, we have instituted certain policies to help us make sure WebbMail Email Marketing remains a safe, trusted environment for email marketing and correspondence.
This following outlines those policies and our efforts to enforce them.
WebbMail Email Marketing is a permission-based email-marketing platform. It is designed to let organizations send emails to people who want to receive those emails. Webb Weavers Consulting's permission and privacy policy is part of the Terms of Use agreed to by every Webb Weavers Consulting client that uses WebbMail Email Marketing, and it appears as a reminder on WebbMail's import process every time new lists are added. It goes beyond the stipulations set forth in the United States' Can-Spam legislation and is as follows:
|
To send an email to someone using WebbMail, that recipient must be:
|
While many services allow you to purchase or otherwise obtain a list of addresses of people you've never met and send them emails, Webb Weavers Consulting does not. We do not rent, sell, or otherwise share our lists or those of our clients, and we do not allow any Webb Weavers Consulting client to rent or purchase lists and send to them using the WebbMail network.
When it comes to sending permission-based email, the age of the list matters. If enough time passes between someone initially subscribing to your list and eventually receiving an email from you, permission "expires" as people eventually forget what they've signed up for. That's why we don't allow sending to any email address that was obtained more than 18 months ago and has *not* received any correspondence from you since that time.
In order to create and administer your WebbMail account, we explicitly ask for and collect certain information about you and your company, including financial information used to verify identity and bill for services. Under no circumstances will we share your (or any other member's) personal information with any third party, except in the circumstance where the requesting organization is a high-powered government agency with the authority and requisite threats of long-term jail sentences to make us share that personal information. Otherwise, no one gets access to your information, ever.
We also collect certain aggregate information about our clients. We use this information to improve our services and do a better job of marketing them. We may also report such information - always in aggregate form and never in a way that could identify individuals - to third parties, such as newspapers or industry observers or potential clients and partners.
We do everything we can to make sure your customer lists, email content and response data remains private and confidential. Though we reserve the right to monitor your lists, content and response data from time to time to make sure they comply with our Terms of Use, we will never share, sell or rent your customer data to anyone for any reason.
Just as we ask and expect you to respect the in-box of your customers, we will do our best to respect yours. The only emails you'll receive from us will be our monthly newsletters, WebbNews and WebbTips, and emails related to your account or your use of WebbMail. We might alert you to new features or site enhancements. We might check in to see how your last campaign went. Some of those emails may be directed to everyone, and some of them may be written just for you. *We will never sell or rent your email address.*
Webb Weavers Consulting has the right to unilaterally ammend the terms of this Permission and Privacy Policy.
